Covered Composition Book

We've had a busy holiday.  The kids have been off school for a week and a half and I've loved spending time with them.  Santa came and went and we all got exactly what we wanted.  I needed a gift for my daughter's best friend.  She is an avid writer and I LOVE making hand made gifts, so I decided to make her a personalized journal.  I think she liked it.

My Digital Studio and a Very Merry Christmas!

Hmm...somehow this never posted!  I really dislike when that happens!  Better late than never!

I absolutely LOVE My Digital Studio!  The possibilities for this amazing software are endless.  I handmade over 35 cards this year, but for those folks who I don't have a snail mail address and all my Facebook friends and family I did a quick MDS card.  This literally took me about 2 minutes to create and I love it!

Autumn Spice and Day of Gratitude

I've been coveting the Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper and the Day of Gratitude Stamp Set since I first saw them.  I just didn't buy them!  I received some images in a swap of the Day of Gratitude stamps and knew I had to have them and although I finally bought the stamp set I still hesitated on the paper.  I'll explain -- I'm a hoarder!  I have so much DSP that I have a really hard time justifying the purchase of even more because once I have it in my hot little hands I can't bear to cut into it!  So, when the digital download for the Autumn Spice paper was released I had my solution!!!!  I immediately purchased it and printed a sheet with my Kodak printer onto some HP 6.5 mil everyday photo paper and it was STUNNING!  My kids couldn't even tell that I printed it from the computer!

Here is the quick card I put together with my new paper.  AND, I did not copy this one from anyone :)

Build a Bear Birthday

My neighbor's daughter turned 7 last Friday and I needed to whip up a card because, as usual, I did not have any birthday cards handy.  I'm going to say that the reason is that I like to personalize each card...yeah, I'm going with that LOL!  When the Build a Bear dies first came out I HAD to have all of them.  Now that I have them, I don't use them enough.  So I grabbed my Big Shot and the Build a Bear dies and threw this quick card together.

Sorry for skipping the supply list -- I'm on my way out the door.  I will add the supply list later.

My Very First Diaper Cake!

I have wanted to make a diaper cake for the longest time and was just so intimidated by them.  My bunco group is having a diaper shower for one of the girls and they asked if I would try one.  So, I took the plunge.  I searched blogs and YouTube and followed the instructions.  We don't know whether she's having a boy or a girl, so I tried to keep it neutral.  I think it actually turned out quite cute.
I used up some retired Designer Series Paper and buttons as well as some of the new ribbon in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog.  I'd love to hear what you think!

Free Pass for UStamp

For UStamp with Dawn and Friends Year End Blowout 2010, Dawn decided it would be wonderful for the designers to give away their free pass as a RAK (random act of kindness).  Our task was to go out into the blogosphere and find someone who we do not know on any level and give them a pass to this wonderful online event!  What fun I had browsing blogs and splitcoaststampers for inspiration.  I have to admit, this was a really hard task for me.  I am an avid blog surfer so many of the projects that caught my eye were created by stampers that I visit often.  The challenge for me was finding someone new.  I'm happy to say that I did just that.  I made a new stamping friend in Nancy Hendel.  She is super talented and when I contacted her via email was super sweet, too!

Here is the project that just WOWed me:

Isn't it just fabulous!!!  I just love it.
